With no siblings to share the grief, I found myself diving deeper into vinyl, searching for something that could fill the silence that loss leaves behind. In those quiet moments, surrounded by crackling records and the warm embrace of analog sound, I discovered that music wasn't just entertainment—it was healing, connection, and family all wrapped into one.
That's when KornDog Records was born—not just as an online record store, but as a way to share the music that saved me with fellow collectors who understand that vinyl isn't just about sound, it's about soul. Every record I curate carries a piece of my story, every album a chapter in the soundtrack of survival and rebirth.
My wife Brandi and our daughters Elizabeth and Olivia are my entire world. They've watched me transform pain into passion, turning our home into a vinyl sanctuary where every record has a story. Elizabeth and I even got matching zombie kitty tattoos— a reminder that love persists through all of life's chaos, just like the records we hunt down for our customers.
But it was Olivia who really showed me what KornDog Records is all about. One afternoon while I was cataloging new arrivals, she sat quietly drawing with her colored pencils. Watching her create something beautiful from nothing reminded me why we do this—every record we sell carries the potential to soundtrack someone's most important moments.
