I was four years old when this came out. Too young to understand what it meant, but old enough to remember my old man cranking it every Sunday morning. "Hells Bells" rattling the windows.
Years later, I learned the story - AC/DC lost Bon Scott and could've called it quits. Instead, they made the ultimate comeback album. That's what this record represents: getting back up when everything says you should stay down.
Now when I drop the needle, I'm not just hearing AC/DC. I'm hearing my dad. I'm back in that living room, watching him air guitar like an idiot. Those are the memories vinyl protects.
I play it for my daughters now. They'll remember me the same way I remember him.
Perfect for: Passing down to your kids, comeback moments, remembering why classic rock never dies
Anthems that never die:
⚡ Hells Bells
⚡ Shoot to Thrill
⚡ Back in Black
⚡ You Shook Me All Night Long
⚡ Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution
